ABOUT

OurGlass was formed in 1995 around the talents of Mark Tranter, Lee James and Patricia Edmonds. Mark (BA Hons), and Patricia (MA) both graduated in 3D design in Glass, Lee, a graduate Chemist, was in technical management/consultancy within the UK crystal glass industry. During 1997 Ourglass fitted our their workshop and then opened for business on the 1st August, they have been in Cockington sharing their craft and selling their work ever since.

We have been lucky enough to call the Stableyard our home for nearly 28 years, our lovely yard is also home to some fine artisans - we have Rex Latham the Blacksmith, Jo Bradford Jeweller, Big Green Hound who make bespoke dog collars and leads, MooBoo Home who craft lighting and homewares, and the award winning Torbay Gin. Also on site there is the Seachange area which houses a number of talented craftspeople, including mosaics, ceramics, handmade soap and more.

Cockington Court itself houses a cafe and craft shop, the site is set within 460 acres of beautiful parkland. There are many areas to explore including the glorious walled rose garden and the arboretum which has wonderful specimen trees, as well as fabulous woods and bridle paths. The Norman church is definitely worth a visit too. Cockington Village has been a draw for many decades, it's thatched cottages and chocolate box prettiness has enthralled many generations of visitors. You can enjoy a pint at the Lutyens designed Drum Inn or a cream tea at one of the village cafes.
